BPCC CONCERT WINDS ENSEMBLE TO PRESENT FALL SEASONAL CONCERT

Bossier Parish Community College and the BPCC Concert Winds is proud to present its Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 in the Stephen W. Slaughter Theatre in Building C, on the BPCC campus, 6220 E. Texas St., Bossier City, LA.

The Concert Winds under the direction of Music Instructor Joshua L. Waldrop will take the stage to perform a variety of band selections guaranteed to bring enjoyment to audiences of all ages. This concert is free and open to the public.

The concert titled A Hymn Celebration will feature hymn songs from around the world in the concert band setting. The pieces will include “Chant and Jubilo” by W. Francis McBeth, “When Jesus Wept” by William Schuman, “American Hymnsong Suite” by Dwayne S. Milburn, “Old Churches” by Michael Colegrass, “Salvation is Created” by Pavel Tschesnokoff, and “Be Thou My Vision” arranged by Travis J. Cross.

Many of the students enrolled in the ensembles are music scholarship recipients.  Auditions for BPCC music scholarships are held periodically throughout the year.
