BPCC COMMUNICATION MEDIA PRESENTS STUDENT SHOWCASE

ATTN MEDIA: BPCC’s Division of Communication and Performing Arts would like to personally invite you to attend the showcase as their guest. Stop by and experience the wide-range of creative student work on view. Attendees will have the opportunity to see artwork, talk to student artists, and discuss opportunities. Refreshments will be provided for you to enjoy as you mix and mingle with this latest group of BPCC talent.

The Division of Communication Media and Performing Arts at Bossier Parish Community College will honor and recognize students and their work at the 2019 Comm Media Showcase at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, April 30 in the Stephen W. Slaughter Theatre (Building C) on the BPCC campus, 6220 E. Texas St, Bossier City, LA.

The participating students submitted works in the following categories: animation, graphic design, music and sound design, photography, and videography. The showcase will be adjudicated by Northwestern State University’s Chair of the Fine Arts and Graphic Design Department Matthew DeFord. Winners will be chosen for each category listed above as well as top choices for “Best in Show” and the “Chancellor’s Choice” awards.

The purpose of the showcase is to give Communication Media students the practical experience of presenting their work. “The process of creation and having to print their artwork and hang it for everyone to look at is valuable opportunity for students,” says Jennifer Robison, BPCC’s Instructor of Photography. “The experience helps them develop a stronger portfolio and helps our community to see what our students are producing.”
