2019 MS BPCC & MISS TINY CAVALIER CHOSEN

Maelena Thompson was named the new Ms. BPCC and Laylah Anise Metoyer was selected Miss Tiny Cavalier at the 2019 Ms. BPCC Pageant held Saturday evening at BPCC’s Stephen W. Slaughter Theatre.

Thompson is a freshman education (grades 1-5) major at BPCC. Laylah, age 6, is the daughter of April and Marcel Metoyer.

Ms. BPCC first runner-up was Sarah Johnson, a freshman general studies major, and Ms. Congeniality was Breanna Allen, a freshman physical therapist assistant major.

Alyson Grace Roach, age 5, was chosen as Miss Tiny Cavalier first runner-up. She is the daughter of Megan and Joshua Roach.

The Ms. BPCC contestants are judged on leadership in academic and extracurricular activities, citizenship, service to the College, poise, personality, and personal attractiveness. Miss Tiny Cavalier contestants are judged on beauty/appearance, personality, projection, and poise. Various prizes are awarded including a full-tuition scholarship plus books for the Ms. BPCC titleholder.

Ms. BPCC represents Bossier Parish Community College as a spokesperson and community ambassador. The pageant is held annually.
