Nursing and Allied Health

The mission of the Division of Nursing and Allied Health is to provide quality educational opportunities in nursing, and allied health through excellent classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction, and to provide service to the citizens of Northwest Louisiana. The Division of Nursing and Allied Health offers 28 programs: 11 associate degrees, 6 certificates of technical studies, 4 technical diplomas, and 8 career and technical certificates.

Our state-of-the-art Nursing & Allied Health building houses the paramedic, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy, anatomy & physiology, and nursing programs. The Paramedic lab contains a full-size ambulance simulator as well as a mock apartment for additional training in simulated environments. The Nursing lab has 16 human simulators (12 adults, 2 infants, 1 pediatric & 1 birthing simulator). The lab contains a control room as well as one Med-Surg unit with four beds, a medication room, an ICU room, an OB room, a pediatric room, and a fundamental lab. The Pharmacy Technician lab has a simulated retail environment with cash register programs used in real pharmacies, a pill counting system, a pre-packing system, and an additional sterile products lab.

As Dean of Nursing and Allied Health, I am here for one reason: Our Students.
I will maintain an unwavering focus on student success, placing the highest priority on attaining our goals for graduation rates and placement rates while giving our students a competitive return on their investment. I will educate within a supportive learning environment focused on personalized, real-world education. I will foster a culture in which we recognize the individual needs of our students. I will seek feedback and outside perspectives to constantly improve curricula content and student experiences. I will define our success by the academic and professional success of our students.
The Faculty and Staff of the Nursing and Allied Health Division will promote integrity, accountability, and professionalism within each program and among every graduate.
